Dogs and cats stay dry in senior center garage as Torrington animal shelter floods

Torrington’s city animal shelter is under water right now, but its four-legged residents are safe inside the garage of the Torrington Senior Center.

The city’s animal control officer moved a dozen or so dogs and cats on Saturday morning, anticipating severe flooding at the pound.
